  Motorola has created a new website which is aimed at government and some civil services. The idea behind the website is to demonstrate how technology can be seamlessly woven into life on the job for the better of the public good.   Recently I read that the Apple has no plans in the near future to support Flash on the iPhone. I found this curious since they boast about the phone having access to the "real internet", but they are not supporting the plug-in with near total market saturation how can they call it the "real internet"? Earlier today in a conversation with Lee Regan and Chris Hill, Lee informed that Flash does not meet Apple's performance standards.   As I was at home today taking, what most people I know would call, a "Mental Health" day I came across this BBC interview with a Mr. Tim Berners-Lee. Was a nice break to see someone who started this little thing called "the internets" reflect on it.

  So as you may be able to tell, Chris and myself have been making some changes to the site look today. We have added a favicon for the site, thanks to Chris. We have also changed the look and layout of the theme so that authors are now present on posts and you can also search and view articles by author. Just some minor stuff for now but look for more changes in the coming days.

  In preparation for the latest PHIxDA meeting, I stumbled across an article on the Penn State blog about Open Source Software and the User Experience in Higher Education. I am less a designer than I am a programmer and my mindset is typically within the realm of code and syntax rather than how something looks and its usability. In fact, it wasn't until incarnation of PHIxDA and my participation did these UX principles start make an impression on me.   mass emails and how to send them suggestion | (2)

  today, while preparing for the meeting tonight, i realized that simply responding to the PHIXDA mass email that lee recently sent out would not work. outlook told me that PHIXDA_Memebers Group was an invalid recipient! And i was like, yes it is... i want to send them an email. they are totally valid! and it was like, no it's not. gfys! and it went on literally for minutes. could we perhaps set up a google group or a single point forwarding email address to send stuff to?
