The Internet is full of good flash websites, and terrible flash websites. What makes a good flash site? In my opinion it is how you handle the users experience because lets face it, they are not visiting the site for pure information collection, they want to be entertained. Do you remember playing connect the dots in first or second grade? Drawing lines until you were delightfully rewarded with a crude drawing of a butterfly. Swype is like playing connect the dots with an onscreen keyboard. Swype is a gesture based text input method for mobile devices and tablet PCs using a stylus or fingertip, but there is no reason why it couldn't be used with a standard PC and a mouse. My so called 2D barcode Applications & Services, iphone | (3)
2D barcode formats? QR code? Data matrix? It's all new to me but these black and white squares have been around as an open standards project since at least 1989. And obviously this technology is big in japan. All technology is big in japan. Just like all up and coming new music is big in Belgium. Option anxiety Applications & Services | (4)
I love firefox and I love chrome. I don't know which one to set as my default. I've been with firefox so long and I'm a huge fan of everything google - except picasa because flickr is way better. And to be honest with you I've been spending a lot of time with safari but that's only on my iPhone so it doesn't really count - right

I've been typing all my posts and comments with my thumbs. It's a little difficult. Typing on the iPhone is obviously not a great experience. Sending text messages requires a little more effort. Sometimes I miss my old buttons. I still don't know how to copy and past or create a link. Sometimes when I backspace one letter I end up deleting several spaces. A bumpy train ride can make things pretty intersting too. But with out the iPhone I wouldn't even be posting. I'd be reading a book or a newspaper.

These all-in-one PCs feature a touch sensitive 22" widescreen monitor Which is designed to be the primary method of interaction. HP designed a software suite that allows users to access their information, music, pictures, TV and social networks through a multi-touch interface that emulates the tactile feel of the iPhone.

Swarming with Data impressions, outside | (1)
code_swarm is a very cool application created by Michael Ogawa that takes the history of changes to a software project and creates a video describing those changes over time. The videos remind me of watching a massive space battle in a sci-fi movie. The visualizations that code_swarm produces are not interactive, but they should be. It would be useful to have the ability to zoom into a particular area or toggle developers and file types on and off.I could also see this type of visualization being very useful in tracking personal or cooperate cash flow. Sort a Card, Any Card Applications & Services, outside | (2)
I am now a part of the small group of people that clicked on a banner ad (intentionally). I found a banner for OptimalSort while browsing boxesandarrows.com OptimalSort is a neat online card sorting application developed in the land of Middle Earth (New Zealand). There are 30 day, 90 day and annual paid subscriptions and even a free account that just limits your limits your number of active projects, cards & participants. They even have a "hefty discount" for universities and non-profit groups.
