Jquery wins everytime Good Idea, best practices, rant | (1)
I've decided. I'm done thinking about it. I'm done meeting new frameworks and blind dates with hand coded one off train wrecks and two birds are a stone. I made this decision weeks ago. Way back before Addy was even born (I'm an obsessed new dad) I made this decision on phixda's first birthday. Collections, colaboration and communication are the keys to success! Living documents. Ideas never expire - they evolve. I need a tool... We need a tool that promotes the appropriate environment for the evolution of ideas. I'm being a little dramatic - I'll calm down and try to work through my frustrations. I'm thinking about the way I look up words - or the way I used to look up words. You know, like in a dictionary. I employ some quick fuzzy math to calculate the depth of the first letter and then I eyeball the thickness of the book. I estimate how many letters, how many words and how many pages come before. How many after. I open the book and if I am really really lucky I might be close. Now the flipping and skipping begins. Half steps towards the word. Single page scans and turns. Ah ha!

It was bound to happen. I'll make a short story long... For years we've had $23 analog cable from comcast. 2 weeks ago our cable went out. 1 week ago comcast came out to fix it. Comcast no longer supports the old analog boxes so they fixed our cable by forcing us to go digital. There is a considerable improvement in the picture but we now get fewer channels. We get 3,6 and 10. We don't get comedy central. Which means we watch the daily show on our laptop at hulu.com. Last night, during one of the short advertisement breaks I ...

2D barcode formats? QR code? Data matrix? It's all new to me but these black and white squares have been around as an open standards project since at least 1989. I love firefox and I love chrome. I don't know which one to set as my default. I've been with firefox so long and I'm a huge fan of everything google - except picasa because flickr is way better. And to be honest with you I've been spending a lot of time with safari but that's only on my iPhone so it doesn't really count - right
