They did it again. Google has an experimental search feature on the labs section of the google site. Audio indexing currently searches through video and finds matches of words and phrases and provides shortcuts to jump straight to the result.
Is this the next stenographer killer? Will closed-caption/subtitle programmers have to find a new job? Will the RIAA have a hissy fit when lyrics are ultimately indexed by someone they can’t afford to sue? Time will tell!
